Benjamin Tseng is an Associate at DCM, a leading venture capital fund based in the Silicon Valley, Beijing, and Tokyo, managing over $2 billion in assets where he is responsible for analyzing new investment opportunities as well as assisting on financing, M&A, and strategic matters for DCM’s diverse set of portfolio companies.
Prior to DCM, Benjamin was a Senior Associate Consultant with management consulting firm Bain & Company based in the Bay Area where he worked on a number of client projects across the technology industry evaluating new markets, strategies, and acquisitions
Benjamin graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors in Biochemical Sciences and a minor in Mathematical Sciences from Harvard University where his studies focused on understanding complex biological systems using a combination of mathematical and experimental approaches.
His interest areas lie in disruptive opportunities that exist at the intersection of business and science & technology and include Android, semiconductor/software components, hardware, next-generation mobile/web platforms, Big Data, and the intersection between traditional life science/healthcare and technology
Benjamin is an also an avid comic book fan, a “Fandroid”, and probably spends a little too much time on Google Reader/Tumblr and his blog.
