Scrubs: The Real "JD"

I recently had the chance to interview Dr. Jonathan Doris, a medical consultant and namesake for the Zach Braff’s acclaimed role of John Dorian (J.D.) on the TV show Scrubs. We discussed how he got involved with the show, what medical consultants do, how realistic (or unrealistic as the case may be) Scrubs’s portrayal of medical life is, what his favorite episode was, and some of his thoughts on medical school, residency, and being a doctor. I had a lot of fun talking to him and, suffice to say, if you’re a fan of “Scrubs”, want a reason to start watching, or if you’re interested in medical training from a real insider’s perspective, check it out!
